Dunamu (CEO Lee Seok-woo), a blockchain and fintech company, announced on the 13th that a Dunamu consortium consisting of Dunamu, Naver, and Round 1 studios has been selected as the sole official partner of the KBO NFT digital business.

The core of the KBO NFT digital business is to develop NFT products using the league’s content, revitalize the KBO league’s digital content, and provide new types of fan services.

In this regard, on the 22nd, “KBOLELECT,” a platform that issues NFT products using various contents of the KBO League, will be launched.

Earlier, KBO held an open bid in February with the aim of developing NFT products using the contents of the KBO league, which represents the domestic professional sports league. In order to select fair and objective operators, external professional evaluators such as blockchain technology and sports business experts were formed to conduct various reviews and evaluations of operators, and the Dunamu Consortium with the highest scores in both technology and price evaluation was selected as its sole official partner.

The Dunamu Consortium consists of companies with expertise in each field, such as Dunamu, Naver, and Round One Studios. Dunamu, which operates NFT Marketplace based on Upbit, the No. 1 digital asset exchange in Korea, will support NFT transactions, Naver, the No. 1 portal operator, will build exhibition sites and Round One Studio, a sports content developer, will be in charge of producing NFT cards for KBO league players.
