Korean game companies Wemade and Com2us Group have challenged their mainnet. I’m looking forward to it because it’s going to open in the market soon. Mainnet refers to a system that creates its own platform and builds an ecosystem in a blockchain network. In other words, it means the operating system on the OS) on the blockchain.

Jang Hyun-guk, CEO of WeMade, declared through a media meeting on the 3rd, “My goal is to become the world’s No. 1 main net.” It attracted the attention of the market by showing its “spirit” to surpass Bitcoin and Ethereum, which are located in the global coin market.

The game companies’ own mainnet construction is attracting a lot of attention. This is because the process of building the mainnet itself requires high-level technology and capital power, which is never easy. In addition, it takes a lot of time and money to operate the mainnet on its own because it has to distribute data from one place to another. Reliability, fast processing speed, etc. are also important.

Why are you building your own main net?

Why did Wemade and Comtus Group decide to leave the external mainnet and build their own mainnet despite these difficulties? It can also increase investment value by giving technology and trust to users and investors.

Above all, with its own mainnet, it is much more free from external constraints and flexible operation than borrowing and using other mainnets. With its own platform, various blockchain developers enter the network ecosystem, and when they develop decentralized applications (DApps), users can use them.

As a result, it has the advantage of expanding its own blockchain ecosystem by expanding various projects other than games. For example, beyond blockchain games, several DApps such as irreplaceable token (NFT) exchanges, decentralized finance (Dispy), digital art, and metaverse can be uploaded to their mainnet. As this ecosystem grows, the underlying coins can increase their influence in the blockchain market.

In addition, if you use an external mainnet, you cannot decide on a blockchain-based transaction fee “Gas Price” policy, but your mainnet can operate user-friendly by implementing support policies such as reduction and exemption. Cheap gas costs are a good incentive to increase Mainnet users.

As long as technology and capital are supported, there are many advantages that can be gained through its own mainnet. But I’m a little worried. Recently, the number of blockchain projects that launch the mainnet has been on the rise, and vulnerabilities are occurring due to various unstable appearances. The key is how well the two game companies operate after opening the main net, establishing a stable position, and growing the ecosystem.
